This quiet running, robust and reliable 12V DC to AC power converter connects standard Australian 3 pin electrical devices of up to 600 Watts to a 12volt cigarette lighter socket. The 8ZED 600 Watt Modified Sine Wave Power Inverters can be used anywhere you can take your vehicle. This nicely compact unit is suitable for storing inside your glovebox or under your seat. Ideal for people on the move, who require a mobile office or are involved in outdoor work.
The 8ZED 600 Watt Modified Sine Wave Power Inverter has an inbuilt safety system, designed to:
- Disconnect the power if the inverter exceeds 65 degrees centigrade
- Disconnect the power if the inverter is plugged into a supply exceeding 15V
- Appliance output exceeds 2.17amps
- Battery falls below 10V
These safety mechanisms protect your battery, prevent damage to your inverter and avoid fusing your cigarette lighter.
Before using Modified Sine Wave Inverters, always check with the manufacturer of the appliance you want to run. Modified Sine Wave Inverters can operate with most household appliances, but some appliances require to run on a pure sine current, or a current that very closely matches mains power cycles. Avoid damaging the appliance and the Inverter by checking appliance manufacturers specifications. Modified sine wave inverters are cheaper to manufacture than Pure Sine Wave inverters, as they have more basic and fewer electronic components. 8Zed warranty will not cover damage by misuse or plugging in unsuitable appliances.
With inverter powered via cigarette lighter adapter, a 150W maximum power draw is recommended.

This product can be mounted permanently in your car as suggested in the instructions however it has no mounting holes or even mounting brackets etc. These would be a good idea.
